Village
The “Village” series is not the village itself, it is the image in which it is located. In my opinion, a person cannot touch reality and acts through an image. Those. the image is necessary to confirm that reality still exists and to save human life. I think that artists operate with this, with an image as an intermediary. The series itself is arranged as a stream. Reality is always a stream, but it is not always possible to stand inside it, so such series are made for a long time. The Village has no plot. One image replaces another. This happens at the level of intuition, I do not know any other way. As a result, the viewer should (probably should) have the feeling that he has touched this flow-image and its density. The density of the statement is important to me, it is taken from a single photo and from their number at the same time, hence the feeling that the images change too quickly. After the 3rd or 4th viewing, this feeling disappears. The viewer sees something new every time. Ravel and Hayasaka should cover the image of the "Village", their works are also a stream. Hayasaka wrote a cue on the Bolero and they seem to be closed to each other. It seems to me that this is beautiful and confirms the idea that there is no individual creativity, but there is a world practice of different people and it is interconnected.
